What do you want to know about me?

Just starting out.

I started writing early. I mean really early, like 6:30 this morning, or forty years ago, depending on how you measure time.

Over the course of that not-inconsiderable stretch, I’ve carried a number of labels. Breath of fresh air. Oxygen thief. Inspiration. Most frustrating individual you could ever wish to meet.

I’ve stopped trying to resolve the contradiction.

It turns out the visionary who thinks you can walk on water and the idiot who questions your right to the next breath are often the same person. It just depends on whether they’d had a coffee before you started talking.

 

What I’ve kept, through all of it, is the writing. Fiction, mostly. Dark, grounded, strange. The kind of stories where the world is slightly wrong but the people in it feel entirely real. Right now, most of my energy is going into Echo Walkers: an original RPG and fiction property set in a world where memory has weight and the boundaries between what is real and what is remembered have started to come apart. Stories from that world will appear on this site as they’re ready.

The rest of this place is everything else, walks across moors, runs I probably shouldn’t have attempted, and the older scribbles that started the whole thing.
